The travel book Spanish postcards (1931) occupies a unique place for its setting in the work of the Slovak writer Zuzka Zguriška. In ten chapters the author shares his experiences in some of the cities of the southern country. She writes with his cool mood about the cheerful image of a country with people living and spontaneous character and she shows shortcomings of social reality very different from the idyllic and stereotyped image of Spain.

The paper deals with syntactic analysis of the concession and effect clauses in German economic texts. They are adverbial subordinate clauses with majority of German linguists classify as in linguistics the concept of „causality“ is used in a much broader sense than in philosophy.

Digitization is the major force in the recent media development and fundamentally affects social, political and economic structures, as well as the everyday life of individual media users. The current trends in the media sector point to a rapid change, which is considered one of the most dramatic breakthroughs in the history of human civilization. The aim of this theoretical study is to explore the digital media landscape as the successor of the traditional media system and evaluate it.

During the Summer term of the academic year 2015/2016, the first-year master’s students of the Faculty of Applied Languages at the University of Economic in Bratislava were offered a possibility to take a course The Analysis of Specialized German Texts by Means of Mind and Concept Maps as one of the obligatory courses to choose from. The aim of our paper is to present the contents of this course as well as to show the perspectives from which we analyzed specialized German texts through creating map and concept maps.

The dominant in our tactics is emotional and evaluative learning style, which involves cooperation and mutual activity in the learning process (cooperative action learning). The constituent parts of the cooperative action learning style are elements of operational and strategic management, project teams, group dynamics, problem-solving and decision-making processes. Thus, the style helps to "play" a variety of life situations, different ways of problem-solving, teaches both individual in a team (group) working, so cultivating tolerance, flexibility of thinking, the ability to manage emotions and find compromise solutions to problems.

Tatiana MOROZKINA - ВЗАИМОДЕЙСТВИЕ ПАРАМЕТРОВ РЕЖИМА В РЕФЛЕКСИВНОМ ДИСКУРСЕ (THE INTERACTION OF MODE PARAMETERS IN REFLEXIVE DISCOURSE)
The article examines mental processes in the inner speech of a person, namely: formation of hidden intentions, true modal evaluative judgments, and recognition of motives. On lexical and grammatical levels the essence of an utterance is transmitted by deictic means and mental predictors in the inner communication. The correlation between the content of the utterance/sentence and the reality is examined on lexical and grammatical levels. On communicative and pragmatic levels reflective activity of a speaker is expressed in the external communication using different strategies and speech tactics.

Beatriz GÓMEZ-PABLOS - LA DEFINICIÓN LEXICOGRÁFICA DE LOS PLATOS DE COMIDA (THE LEXICOGRAPHICAL DEFINITION OF DISHES)
The wording of the definitions in dictionaries has been and will remain one of the main problems of lexicography. This article wishes to explore lexicographical definitions of dishes. In this work analyzes 88 dishes from Spain and Latin America gathered in the latest edition of DRAE and describes some difficulties posed (pluriverbal names, vocabulary, hypernonyms and specific differences, etc.) and at the same time tries to propose possible solutions.

In this paper we carry out a study on translation techniques that were employed by Joanna Orzechowska while translating the novel “Wojna polsko-ruska pod flagą biało-czerwoną” by Dorota Masłowska into the Spanish language (translated to English as either “White and Red” in the UK or “Snow White and Russian Red” in the US, both by Benjamin Paloff). We will focus on translation-oriented analysis of elements such as: title, anthroponyms, place names, quotes, etc.
